VF Live: Vinyl.eu #4 with Dingotracks

A Turkish records special.

In VF Live, our favourite collectors take you inside their homes, record shops, and studios, for intimate mixes and performances.

Copenhagen’s Vinyl.eu (fka 1207 Vinyl) returns, with Dingotracks playing a Turkish records special, inspired by music he discovered digging in Istanbul:

“I had just come off a 3 week european tour, as a driver for my friends’ band Straight Arrows. The singer, Owen, and I decided we wanted to spend ten days in Istanbul after the tour to wind down, exploring the city and dig for some Turkish records.

We had a great time ploughing through record shops featuring both Asian and European vinyl, whilst also visiting some private sellers on the way. By chance, we bumped into Gökçen Kaynatan in Can Plak who invited us to his studio despite our language barrier. We also spent a lot time in Deform Music, and became good friends with the owner Tayfun. He was very accommodating towards us and we shared many cups of tea.”
