10 records in 5 minutes, recapping the best of The Vinyl Factory’s Behind The Counter series.

Over the last 8 months, The Vinyl Factory has travelled around the UK and across the world to meet some of the most important and forward thinking independent record shops around. Having asked each to pick five of their favourite records for us, we’ve compiled a little round-up of ten records – one from each shop we visited – which for us represent the best of what the year had to offer. You don’t get more definitive than this; a global end of year list as selected by the world’s best record shops.

Stopping off in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Berlin, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Nashville, Tennessee, the best of Behind The Counter 2013 features some of the year’s best vinyl releases, from Spanish new wave to Dutch house, Chinese garage rock to private press cosmic disco.
