New EP also tops Official Vinyl Singles Chart.
Massive Attack have enlisted Kate Moss for a dark and sensual new video for ‘Ritual Spirit’, taken from their 2016 EP of the same name.
Released earlier this year as a limited hand-screen printed edition with The Vinyl Factory at Lazarides Gallery in London and The Store in Berlin, Ritual Spirit, also received a standard vinyl pressing which has shot to the top of the Official Vinyl Singles Chart.
As 3D describes: “During the session Kate was dancing in the dark, lighting herself with a naked bulb. She perfectly captured the essence of this track… intimate and ritualistic. We edited it back in Bristol to keep it raw with no re-touching, I didn’t want to lose the spirit of that moment.”
Directed by Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja, the video is the latest to appear from the record, following the Rosamund Pike-starring ‘Voodoo In My Blood’ which featured Young Fathers.
Last month Massive Attack launched The Vinyl Factory Soundsystem at The Store Studio in Berlin.
