A cosmic piece of analogue synthesis.

AIR’s Jean-Benoît Dunckel and composer Jonathan Fitoussi have shared the latest video from their new album, Mirages.

A gorgeous, cinematic excavation into crystalline lattices and prophetic abstraction – which feels like you’re heading into space and to the centre of the Earth simultaneously – the visuals for ‘Oracle’ echo the slow-burning, cosmic chug of the track.

Directed by Jules Guérin, it is the second video to be released from the album, following the eponymous ‘Mirages’, and further explores the relationship between the music and its genesis inside Xavier Veilhan’s Venice Biennale installation in 2017.

Finished in Dunckel’s Paris-based studio, Mirages features synthesisers amassed over several years, including an Arp 2600, PPG Wave, Synthi A, Buchla, Yamaha CS60, and Korg MS20.

Mirages is out now on clear vinyl via The Vinyl Factory. Click here to order and copy and here to stream the album in full.
