Listen to live performances from Ragz Originale, Matthew Progress and more.
The Vinyl Factory has unveiled the first four records of a twelve-release collection documenting its Reverb Live Sessions series.
Recorded live during The Vinyl Factory: Reverb exhibition at 180 Studios, the Reverb Live Sessions highlight performances from both emerging and established artists such as Jamilah Barry and Caleb Femi. Curated in collaboration with Alaska Alaska, Kazeem Kuteyi, and Benji B, the events took place on Amplified — a site-specific stage designed by Theaster Gates as part of the exhibition. Each of these events is now available on its own vinyl release to take home.
Session 01 features a live performance by Yohan Kebede, a keyboardist, producer, and member of Kokoroko, accompanied by a conversation between Kebede and Kazeem Kuteyi.
Session 02 spotlights London-based singer and producer Ragz Originale, paired with a discussion between Ragz and PRIM founder and Foundation FM resident K Bailey Obazee.
Session 03 includes a performance by Toronto MC and producer Matthew Progress alongside a dialogue between Canadian fashion designer Spencer Badu and Kazeem Kuteyi.
Session 04 brings together British-Guinean singer-songwriter Jamilah Barry and acclaimed poet, author, and filmmaker Caleb Femi, who collaborate in both a live performance and conversation.
Each record is pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl, featuring artwork by Alaska Alaska and housed in bespoke die-cut outer sleeves with vibrant one-colour fluro details.
Limited to just 500 copies per session, the records are available to order now.
