Independent labels descend on London’s Old Spitalfields Market for a day of summer trading and charity auctioneering.

What better place to be on the hottest day of the year than at an indoor record fair? Bringing together labels from XL to Tape Club, Ninja Tune to 4AD, this years event drew crowds of all ages to the sweltering market eager to get their hands on exclusives and deals direct from the labels themselves.

With ILM and The Vinyl Factory’s green and gold disco-sleeved charity release series providing an extra draw – Loefah and Fresh Touch featuring Damon Albarn proving the day’s biggest sellers – punters navigated over seventy labels for a spot of summer record shopping.

Bracketed by the queues at Swamp81 in the morning and their charity auction in the afternoon, here are a selection of the day’s best images.
