With Record Store Day (RSD) 2025 quick approaching April 12, we’ve asked our friends at Phonica Records to share their essential picks from this year’s offering of exclusives, reissues and special releases.

Strictly Tuff Jam

UK garage legends Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown and Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont, better known as TUFF JAM, remix two of their favourite tracks from the Strictly Rhythm catalogue. Offering both a vocal and a dub remix of Logic’s “Blues For You” and Quentin Harris’ “Joy”, this four-tracker is a limited exclusive RSD run.

Gilles Peterson presents International Anthem

New compilation Gilles Peterson Presents International Anthem highlights the legendary DJ’s love of the Chicago-based label International Anthem. A limited double LP, it comes in a UV gloss jacket with a booklet, OBI strip and inner sleeves.

A repressing from the original tapes of the 1992 house classic Voices In My Head’s Some Other People. Eight tracks influenced by deep house, tribal house, funky breakbeat, bleepy electro and techno. Don’t miss out.

The Cure’s “Alone” gets a black label Four Tet remix, exclusively available on 12″ vinyl for Record Store Day.

All royalties from the sale of the “Alone (Four Tet Remix)” 12″ will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) UK.

De La Soul

Bigger & Respect

(Sanctuary)

Two previously unreleased De La Soul tracks finally drop on vinyl – “Bigger” and “Respect”. Originally recorded in 2004 during the studio sessions for The Grind Date, the two cuts are joined by instrumental versions of “Rock Co.Kane Flow” and “The Future” on this double 7″.


Sun Ra

Nuits de la Fondation Maeght

Originally released across two edited volumes by Shandar in 1971, Nuits de la Fondation Maegh captures two August 1990 concerts from the legendary Sun Ra. These concerts are now reissued by Strut in an expanded 6 LP vinyl box set for Record Store Day 2025.
