# of records (approx.): 600 LPs and 100 7″s

How long have you been collecting for?

About 7 years, but really I started as a kid when I saw David Bowie’s Heroes on the shelf. From that moment on the record shop became my lair and music my life-long companion.

What part of your set-up are you most proud of?

Last Christmas I upgraded to all new equipment with the exception of my faithful turntable: the Technics 2000. I would not change it with any other turntable. It’s over 30 years old, and I have a sentimental attachment to it. Finally, I am very proud of the shelves that I built and painted myself.

What record(s) are you most proud of?

My entire David Bowie collection which includes 65 LPs, the two copies of Revolver autographed by Klaus Voorman, the original Italian pressings of George Harrison’s Concert for The Bangladesh and All Things Must Pass, and a bootleg of Pink Floyd live in Venice.

What does your record collection mean to you?

My collection is like an island without time and space where I can find comfort in music and where I can really be myself. I bend down and choose a record, put it on the turntable and the magic begins. In short, my collection reflects who I am – every musical genre represents a different facet of my character. Music is food for my soul.
