20 years ago the Planet Mu was formed from the nebula of μ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas), who has allowed the label to exist on the fringes and in the centre of emerging electronic music. Pushing buttons from IDM and break core to dubstep and grime, and lately to footwork, the label has a strong history of joining the dots betweens genres by supporting idiosyncratic artists like Venetian Snares, Falty DL and Luke Vibert, to name a few. To celebrate 20 years of life, Planet Mu have organised a giant 50-track compilation, 18 of which will be released over three vinyl records featuring both old and new unreleased tracks and remixes. Digital and CD copies of the full release will also circulate, as will a 100-page book charting the history of the label.
