Tom Moulton

Having overseen the release of her first three records, the anointed godfather of the disco remix Tom Moulton is perhaps better placed than anyone to speak about the evolution of Grace Jones’ sound. Fitting then, that he’s picked a track recorded twenty years later which as far as we can tell still remains unreleased. A very welcome last minute addition to the list.

My favourite is ‘Victim’. We did it 20 years after first working together and you can hear the quality and feeling in her voice. It was a pleasure to work with the professional Grace Jones. I have to give Grace a lot of credit for sticking with the singing lessons and constantly trying to be better at what she does.
