Dance duo’s collaboration with Farrow and The Vinyl Factory flies off the shelves in two days.
Made available for pre-order on Monday, by Wednesday afternoon Pet Shop Boys’ hand-signed, fluorescent “Electric Box” special edition had completely sold out. All 350 copies of the 5LP acrylic box set were sold at pre-order in less than 48 hours – a day quicker than the band’s previous Farrow-designed box “Yes”, which, released by The Vinyl Factory in 2009, went on to be voted Record Collector’s ‘Most Collectible Product of the 21st Century’.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s first album with producer Stuart Price, the critically acclaimed “Electric” features nine tracks in total – eight brand new Pet Shop Boys’ songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The last to die’. For those of you lucky enough to have nabbed a copy of the special edition, “The Electric Box” is due for release on 7th October.
