Artist Eddie Peake has collaborated with The Vinyl Factory to launch his new record label HYMN.

The first release on the label is Gwilym Gold’s ‘Muscle’, a stirring ballad conceived by Gold during his live collaboration with Eddie Peake in his White Cube performance ‘Infinite Disparity’ in 2013. Working with dancer Fernanda Munoz-Newsome, the pair have also devised a conceptual video to accompany the single, as part of what Peake calls the “world” around each release.

Speaking in this short film, Peake goes on to explain his desire for the label to have a “pointedly eclectic feel”, with the White Cube as the catalyst for the first release, as Gold draws comparisons between his own music and the nature of Peake’s often improvised performance pieces.

Released in collaboration with the Vinyl Factory, ‘Muscle’ is available to buy as both a standard 12″ edition and hand-signed, screen-printed limited edition, which you can buy via the relevant links.
