VPI and Shinola collaborate on “American Made” turntable

Two years in the making.

VPI Industries has revealed its latest turntable, the Runwell, created in collaboration with Detroit’s luxury lifestyle brand Shinola.

The Runwell promises the quality and performance of a VPI player with the style of a Shinola product, an outcome that took two years to achieve. The turntable shares the same platter and motor as a VPI classic and the tonearm and internal phono of a VPI player. Find the complete specs below.

Sharing the news on Facebook, VPI explained that both companies share a love for “American Made product[s] and opportunity for the American worker.” Accordingly, the deck is assembled in Motor City town Detroit and is billed as having “the feel of a true American Made muscle car”.

Available from November, the Shinola Runwell will retail for $2,500.
