Liam Gallagher, Kasabian and The Stone Roses back band killed in tragic accident.

Viola Beach will have their second single ‘Boys That Sing’ repressed on 7″. All funds from the single will be donated to the families of the British indie band following their tragic deaths in Sweden at the weekend.

Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin were killed when their car plunged 25 metres off a bridge into a canal. Their manager Craig Tarry also died in the accident, which happened in the early hours of Saturday near Stockholm.

The Warrington band had featured on BBC Introducing, a radio showcase for up-and-coming artists, and were in Sweden to play Where is the Music? festival on Friday before a gig at Guildford’s Boileroom the following day.

Speaking to Warrington Guardian, their label Communion said: “Given the extraordinary demand for the Viola Beach ‘Boys That Sing’ 7”, which has now sold out, we are going to repress the record.

“The 7” will now be available to purchase from the Communion store online until next Friday 26th February, when we will press the records. We will endeavour to get these sent out as soon as we can but due to vinyl pressing lead times at the moment we expect these records to ship by early May.”

Meanwhile Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is supporting a campaign to get the band top of the charts. Their song ‘Swings and Waterslides’ has entered the top 40 in the UK and is currently number two in the iTunes chart.
