Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore will release a new single on tape in support of U.S. Army Prvt. Chelsea Manning, who was given a 35-year prison sentence in 2013 for violating the Espionage Act by disclosing documents to WikiLeaks.

The two songs on the limited edition cassette-only release – ‘Chelsea’s Kiss’ b/w ‘Sad Saturday’ – feature drummer Ryan Sawyer, Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine, and Nøught’s James Sedwards. Hear ‘Chelsea’s Kiss’ below.

Partial profits from the single will be donated to the Free Chelsea Manning campaign. The tape is out on 8 October via Blank Editions, as part of Cassette Store Day, which will also feature titles by Courtney Barnett, Gonjasufi, Pixies.
