Celebrity car boot sale for charity.

Inspired by Blur’s Dave Rowntree, musicians, actors, comedians, models and TV presenters will donate possessions and rare memorabilia to a ticketed car boot sale this weekend. All proceeds from Star Boot Sale will go to help Syrian people who’ve sought refuge from the devastating civil war in their country.

Of the hundreds of unique items up for grabs is a serious stash of vinyl including signed, limited edition, testing pressings and sealed records, donated by Moshi Moshi, Rough Trade, Universal, Virgin EMI, Warner, Sony, and some directly from artists’ record collections.

The event takes place at The Old Truman Brewery in East London, 11am-4pm on Sunday 22 May. Some special items are being auctioned online today.

Visit the Star Boot Sale site to join the auction, to buy tickets for Sunday and to find out more about the cause.
