Featuring Run The Jewels, Childish Gambino and The xx.

While we do our best to keep on top of all the new releases and reissues in our weekly top new records list, sometimes you just need a little more space to let the music breathe. Continuing our monthly residency at Soho Radio, you can listen to the show in full below.

To kick things off in 2017, we look back over the releases that just missed out on our end of year roundup, from Childish Gambino’s superb funk homage Awaken, My Love!, to Grouper’s haunting new ‘Paradise Valley’ 7″.

There’s forthcoming music on 4AD, On The Corner and Heavenly Sweetness, enchanting ’80s new wave business on Music From Memory’s new Brazilian Outro Tempo comp and even time to slip in a little tribute to legendary jazz fusion drummer Alphonse Mouzon.
