Art and avalanches.

The Vinyl Factory is partnering with arts festival Elevation 1049 for a series of site-specific works and performances inspired by avalanches, featuring some of the most exciting artists working today.

Taking place in Gstaad in the Swiss Alps, Elevation 1049 will see Ryoji Ikeda present his incredible Test Pattern installation alongside work from the likes of Douglas Gordon, Michael Borremans, Thomas Schütte and Cecilia Bengolea, whose collaboration with Jeremy Deller for Bom Bom’s Dream was one of the highlights of this year’s Infinite Mix.

A master of monochrome audio-visual experiences, in 2015, Ryoji Ikeda brought his stunning supersymmertry exhibition to The Vinyl Factory’s Brewer Street Car Park, subsequently releasing The Solar System as a 10×10″ white vinyl box set.

Curated by Neville Wakefield and Olympia Scarry, Elevation 1049 takes place from 3 February to 19 March. Click here for more info and a full list of the artists taking part.
