Generations collide on new jazz project.

Following the theatrical release of Miles Ahead, Robert Glasper has reinterpreted the works of Miles Davis for a new album titled Everything’s Beautiful.

The project features contributions from Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Bilal KING, John Scofield, Phonte, Bilal, Ledisi , Laura Mvula, Hiatus Kaiyote and Pharoah Monch. Find the tracklist below.

Created in collaboration with Miles Davis’ estate, the album draws on masters and outtakes from Miles Davis’ Columbia Records era (1955 to 1985) and features riffs, new takes, and samples of Davis talking in the studio.

According to press materials, the idea for the release was to create “something where we can take some of Mile’s ideas and shake ’em up, and try to show the influence of Miles and making new things.”

You can watch a mini documentary about the making of the album above. Order the album on vinyl here.
