A gorgeous electronic exploration from Chile.

London record shop Phonica will release the first full-length album on its in-house label Phonica Special Editions this week.

A dream-like suite of experimental electronic movements from Latin American audio-visual artist Valeria Hernández under her Niños Indigo moniker, Vuduwave was first released on cassette back in 2014 via Discos Cetaceos, but appears here on vinyl for the first time.

A sonic play between electronic and acoustic instrumentation, it draws spiritual and organic influence from Chile’s unique location between the Pacific Ocean and the Andres mountains, and the new age concept of indigo children (which lends the project its name) who were believed to possess supernatural qualities.

Vuduwave features artwork by Hernández and is available to order from Phonica from 10th February, with a digital release set to follow on 24th February.
