Listen to DJ Shadow’s latest Essential Mix

A two-hour journey through Shadow’s past and present.

Following the release of his new album The Mountain Will Fall, DJ Shadow’s new Essential Mix has landed. The crate digging DJ and producer made his debut on the BBC Radio 1 series back in 2003.

The first hour showcases a selection of the new music that has inspired him in recent years, including “lots of Cali stuff,” Shadow revealed on Twitter. The second hour is “one for the hip-hop fanatics,” with tracks dear to him.

“I hope this 2-hour mix is fully representative of my DJ aesthetic: demonstrating a love for our musical past and present in equal measure,” he added.
