Leading Japanese electronic musicians and visual artist brings supersymmetry to the UK for the first time.

An immersive and at times disorientating collision of sound, text and visual data, supersymmetry draws inspiration of Ikeda’s residency at CERN (Centre For Nuclear Research) to create an audio visual spectacle like no other. An intense exploration of the intersections between music and visual art through mathematics, quantum mechanics and logic Ikeda’s installation is split into two parts, experiment and experience, where the data collected from the first is processed and visualised in the second using forty projectors.

His first UK project since spectre lit up the London sky in August 2014, supersymmetry is now open at The Vinyl Factory space at Brewer Street Car Park, where it will run until 31st May. Watch a trailer for the exhibition above and see visitor information below.

Exhibition: 23 April – 31 May (Tues – Sun)
