These New Puritans open their Magnetic Resonator Piano to the public for the first time.
Developer Dr. Andrew McPherson of Queen Mary University and These New Puritans’ Jack Barnett talk you through the one-of-a-kind Magnetic Resonator Piano, used first on the band’s acclaimed 2013 LP Field Of Reeds and now on display at The Vinyl Factory space at 180 The Strand.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge 15-18th April between 12pm and 7pm and 19th April between 1am and 5pm. Click here for full visitor information.
Capable of infinite sustain, pitch bends and incredible new timbres, the Magnetic Resonator Piano is an instrument like no other and for this unique exhibition, visitors are invited to control the sound via a full-body motion sensor.
