J Dilla appears in new documentary on making of lost album The Diary

Archival footage shows J Dilla rapping over beats for his debut album.

Featuring Snoop Dogg, Bilal, Kokane, J Dilla’s long lost vocal album The Diary was brought back to life by Mass Appeal Records this year after more than a decade.

Now Mass Appeal has shared this short documentary from the archives, detailing the making of the album with Dilla rapping over beats by Nottz, Hi-Tek and more.
