We’re suckers for a nice wooden box, and self-avowed DIY micro record label De-Fence have one of the year’s best, collecting ten releases in this 10 x 10” chest. Let’s indulge in the specs for just one moment: hand-constructed, hand-printed, dyed & waxed birch ply box, velour-lined on the inside. The set also comes with a silk-screen printed certificate, numbered and signed. All but the forth batch have sold out, so you’ll have to make do with an old oak dye finish, Silver print & Grey inner velour. Either way the 10 x 10 box will still dominate your record shelf like some opium-stained Victorian manifesto.
