Money

As part of our mega vinyl survey last year, we asked hundreds of people the question: “If money were no object, what one record would you buy?”

We’re posing tough questions here at The Vinyl Factory. Last time we presented the record collector’s nightmare –  “your house is burning down, you can only save one record: what would it be?”

Our next question is something of a collector’s wet dream but that doesn’t make it any easier. We’ve cherry-picked from the pool of responses to reveal an incredible selection of coveted, expensive, rare, bizarre, unusual, banned and even fictional records.

"UNKLE ‎– First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Because it has always been one of my favourite songs, so delicate, so beautiful and I was lucky enough to hear this version live at the recently UNKLE gig at the Southbank. Sadly I didn’t realise they were selling it on the night and it’s a MASSIVE, MASSIVE regret as it’s an awesome version of one of my favourite records. I just can’t justify paying silly money to blaggers on Discogs!"
